Principal Investigators are responsible for the oversight of the research and serve as a mentor to the Postdoctoral Fellow. The Principal Investigator may be an employee of a university, college, or selected national laboratory and usually develops the project proposal and the selection of the Postdoctoral Fellow. Principal Investigators are not required to be U.S. citizens. For additional information, see the Program Call page.

Requirements to Apply:
Principal Investigators are not required to be U.S. citizens; and,
Must be associated with an accredited U.S. university, college, selected national laboratory, or non-profit research institution.

Program Requirements:
Facilitate the technical proposal submission;
Manage the research to fulfill the research topic;
Coordinate with the IC Advisor; and,
May or may not attend the annual IC Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Colloquium.
